Canvey Island is located at the Southern end of the county of Essex. It is situated on the River Thames between Southend and Basildon. Canvey is around 35 miles east of London and is around 5 miles in length, by about 3 miles wide.
Chapman Sands Sailing Club is a cosy, family-oriented club situated at the South-East coast of Canvey offering access to extensive sailing waters up to four hours each side of high water by means of a wooden jetty.
As a non-profit-making organisation, we're entirely supported by members subscriptions and their voluntary assistance which helps keep fees low. Among the benefits the club can offer are:
